Nab Tower is a historic sea fort located in the English Channel off the coast of Sussex, England. Built between 1867 and 1869, the structure was designed to protect the area from naval attacks and is now a popular tourist destination.

The Nab Tower was designed by engineers James Walker and John Rennie and was constructed by the Royal Engineers. The structure was built on a rocky reef called The Nab, located approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Selsey Bill in Sussex. The tower is built from granite blocks, each weighing approximately one ton, and is approximately 25 metres (82 feet) in height. Its walls are 3.5 metres (11.5 feet) thick and its foundations are 3.3 metres (10.8 feet) deep.

The tower was originally intended to protect the area from naval attacks during the Napoleonic Wars, but it was later adapted as a lighthouse. It was equipped with a light that could be seen up to 20 miles (32 km) away, making it one of the most powerful lighthouses in the country at the time.

In addition to its role as a lighthouse, the Nab Tower was also used for military purposes during the two World Wars. It was used as an observation post by the British Navy during World War I, and during World War II, it became an important gunnery base for the Royal Air Force.

Today, the tower is a popular tourist destination and is open to the public from April to September. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower to enjoy views of the English Channel, Selsey Bill, and the surrounding area. The nearby beach is a popular spot for swimming and fishing, and the area is also home to a number of seabird species, making it a great spot for bird watching.
